Ani in Japan (located in the Akita prefecture) is a very small ski resort with just three ski lifts but it does boast a very impressive 663 metres (2175 feet) of vertical descent. Ani has 5 pistes. Ani is best suited to beginner skiers and snowboarders but there is some terrain for intermediates but little of interest for expert skiers.
