Tignes, one of the few French ski areas staying open into May, will round off the 2025–26 winter season with the return of the Tignes Unlimited electronic music festival, running from 25 April to 3 May 2026.

Ancelle is a small resort with well tended pistes that are mainly blue. It is one of a number of small resorts in the area (Euro 13 per day, match that.) Ancelle is very good for families. The easiest airport is Marseilles. There are good bus and rail links. The nearest rail station is Gap. There is an overnight sleeper to Ancelle direct from Paris. Plenty of sunshine.
