First time at Afri-Ski and what you see .. is not what you always get ..
Vail rooms with cement floors....Room door rotten and beds barely big enough for adults..
Items stolen from our room and then eventually our car.
Main restaurant food is too pricey and not satisfactory .
Multiple people were complaining at the pub by the slope..
I can't help but think most "positive comments" are from the resort themselves...
Very pricey trip. R7000.00 om 3-4 days easy... That's a return flight to EU..
Rather invest in a real holiday.
Had another wonderful skiing weekend at Afri-ski. The staff are helpful and very friendly!
The intermediate slope is brilliant for me as a beginner. It allows me to get my confidence up before I go and tackle the main slope.
All in all, a great experience; just need more lodges to stay at, as the driving in and out takes its toll.
Cheers 'till next year!
Wonderful stay! Chalet at Seefeld was great. Fully equiped and serviced daily. Slopes were fantastic and sunshine abundant. What more do you want?

We enjoyed our stay at Afri-ski tremendously. Staff were very helpful and Cabin Crew solved our problem with hot water within minutes. Staff overall were friendly.
The dinners in the Sky Restaurant were great. Some of the best meals I've had ever!
Ski slopes was well maintained and prepared for the next day every evening. Equipment was in good order.
Generally a positive experience.
We had great fun and even with the water problem (it was sorted out on the Thursday), we loved it!
The staff is friendly. Food is good. Snowboarding and the snowpark is excellent!
See you next year Afriski.
Three days without water in the mornings. Day four no water at all plus a power failure.
After a full day skiing a shower is a necessity.
Certainly not on my list for returning.
We have just come back from having the most incredible time at Afri-ski. The resort is extremely well run with friendly ski instructors who will go out of their way to encourage the kids and adults to learn to ski. The experience will definitely go down as one of the most memorable long weekends in the snow. We will definitely be back.
Another ~800km successful weekend roundtrip, leaving many SA squatter camps with their squalor behind- crossing into a rather clean rural Lesotho- past a single manned roadblock- greeting it by "Dumela Ntate", a smile, a quick joke- we were curving our way around crossing sheeps, goats and screetching children up once more past Moteng Pass and further over the 3,222m Mahlasela pass to the 'skiing fields'!
Afri-Ski resort greeted us with the first arrival of spring and 'firn' snow on the slopes! The deep freeze seemed finally be broken!
This time, the 'piste' offered a different surface, a bit choppy in the afternoons- due to the sunny but warmer weather and the ever increasing number of 'slope scratchers'- an alien species born in a weak moment between skiers, hobbits and beach bums!
"Roadblocks": Lesotho love roadblocks! Usually they consist of 2 opposing stop signs @ 100m apart- police in the middle! You are required to stop and stay put at the stop sign until the officer waves to you to proceed to him in the middle and stop again! Should you stop but continue without being waved on- you committed an offense of ignoring a stop sign! Argumentative behaviour will land you in trouble! An apologetic and jovial attitude will save your day! Spot fines are legal but must be accompanied by an official receipt- no need to bribe anybody! You are a guest in Lesotho- behave like one! Remember: you require 2 warning triangles, buckle up and have a valid vehicle and drivers licence (no 21 days grace is allowed in Lesotho as is in SA- your SA car 3rd party is also not valid in Lesotho- check with your insurance!) Should you have valid problems visit the Butha Buthe traffic police!
The Afri-Ski snowmakers assured us that the white stuff would outlast the sun for at least 2 more weekends. It was another great weekend where our bodies and resort fired on all six cylinders! - See you in summer for a walk to the Mont-Aux-Sources @ 3,282m!

Been coming up here for the past 25 years (since my student days) where we erected drag lifts run on lawnmower engines, and skied on antiquated equipment from the 70's....how things have changed!
Really enjoyed our stay - the resort as a whole keeps on improving - from the additional lifts to the restaurant. Keep it up!
Wow, am super impressed with the major service, snowmaking and lift improvements. The sky restaurant and gondola (après-ski bar and slope restaurant) are new additions and are beautiful! First went to Afri-ski in 2009 and now it is a real ski resort - none of the above were there in 2009. Massive improvements all round. Snowboarding park is where I spend my time and it is fab! Sky restaurant with views of the slope . New intermediate ski lift and slope put up in 2012 keeps intermediate skiers off main run and T-bar making previous long queues a thing of the past. Well done!!
