If conditions are right Yad Moss is a nice outing. By the way: the roads from Weardale and Haltwhistle are less likely to block up than the Penrith-Alston route. A little hint for freeriders: Walk up to Cross Fell (just west of Yad Moss) and board down to Ousby, Kirkland or Blencarn in right conditions. An amazing route!
