Val Thorens is SO HIGH At an altitude of 2300 metres, the highest resort in Europe and is the culminating point of the 3 Vallées. It's the biggest ski area in the world (600 km of pistes). Val Thorens guarantees an incomparable quality of abundant snow from the end of November to the beginning of May: 99% of the ski area is situated at above 2000 m and over 35% of it is equipped with artificial snow making machines. From the top of the Cime Caron, at 3200 m, you can discover a 360° panorama over the whole of the Alps. From powder fields to perfectly prepared pistes, the wide and varied ski area has something for everybody: alpine skiing, ski trekking, snow boarding, snow shoe outings... and even toboganning on a 6 km piste, the longest in France.
