6 day Uludağ snow forecast

Uludag is an okay resort and I'd advise you go as part of your visit to Turkey and cities like Istanbul and Bursa - a ski holiday in Uludag will prove boring and unchallenging for intermediates and pros - unless you can go backmountain and ski on powder comfortably, however, it should be ideal for families and kids who have just started.

Although Uludag is Turkey's oldest and most famous, the piste is not well designed and some lifts were exclusive to some hotels even though I had a full resort pass - 65Lira for 1.5days in March.

The links between lifts and runs were not great and one has to make routes which is good but nothing compared to Europe. On a positive the snow is great, natural and real powder, you'll love the off-piste; but be warned the mountain gradient is not high, there are no black runs, maybe a few red and the runs are generally short; at most spend 3-4 days there.
However, it's not cheap, the hotels are expensive (even the basic ones) and at the weekend they double their prices, so negotiate and ask for an 'inderim'/discount and see where you go. Ski hire was 20lira per day in March for ski/pole and boots and private lessons were 60lira for 50mins.

I hope this helps and personally I'll ski in Turkey again, but at Palandoken in Ezurum in east Turkey which is a new resort and at 3300m high, it should prove more rewarding! We'll see :-)
