Visitor Reviews of San-Isidro

Pancho from Spain writes:

Hi all snow forecast readers,
Wrote a review 5 years ago, perhaps time to comment again, though not really sure because things are basically the same:
- Off-piste and chances for advanced skiers keeps on being pretty good, good terrain, good steepness, good snow when we get it (2013 has started well and we have a good base and positive outlook).
- 2013, and still no decent park.
- No linking nor merging with neighbouring Fuentes de Invierno which would really and definitely boost the mountain and the whole region, as together they would make a pretty decent area which would attract much more people from Galicia, Portugal, and Western Spain who currently might prefer to drive further and go to the Pyrenees, and who would arrange longer stays. Ah, yes, to our beloved politicians and regional structures, thank you for nothing.
The vicinity with Picos de Europa and in general all the surrounding mountain range makes it a great destination for ski tourers who want to explore the Cantabrian mountains and mix some alpine skiing with freeski adventure.
León and Oviedo keep on being great places to visit and to spend some aprés-ski time. Outstanding historical places and architecture, fabulous food and truly awesome nightlife in both, any time.
