Visitor Reviews of San-Isidro

Nuno Covas from PORTUGAL writes:

I went to San Isidro last weekend and I liked what I found there.

Maybe I got luck because there were huge snowdepths and the only negative point about the snow conditions was that there are only three grooming vehicles to cover the 23 kms of marked slopes, and because of the heavy snowfall during the night, there was not enough time to groom everything.

Apart of that, the staff is highly organized and the price of the ski-pass is reasonably fair.

There were plenty of skiers this weekend, and I've never waited more than 2 minutes in the queue for the main lift. On all the oter lifts there was no queue at all, except for the button lifts on the green runs, which are only two.

This makes this station not advisable for begginers, but great for intermediate skiers.

The advanced skiers can always enjoy the black powder runs, which are a few.

I didn't like the huge amount of schools that were training the little kids all over the red runs, which made me have to slow down some times.

About the rentals, there are lots of shops covering pretty evey single ski and snowboard brand, and relatively low prices (you can rent the whole ski equipment for 12 EUR).

The final veredict would then be positive, considering this one of the best stations on the Northwest/Northern Spain
