I have been to Nendaz twice and have enjoyed it both times! Its not your super cool resort like Verbier or St Anton, but it has its own coolness. The resort is quiet and has a friendly Swiss charm but still has the odd drinking hole for those looking for some nightlife. Cactus Cantina is a great hangout for a beer after a day on the slopes. The food is great too ! Nendaz is one of the cheapest resorts in Switzerland which has access to excellent skiing. It's situated in the 4 Valleys with Verbier. You can ski all day and not do a run twice. There is loads on offer. There are even decent blue runs for beginners, and also great black runs. Tortin and the Mont Fort are especially great if you are looking for a mogul thrill ! The 2 downsides about Nendaz are the fact that the resort is mostly in the shade (unlike Verbier) and it's a bit of a mission to get to the good skiing in Verbier. If you are happy to hop on a bus for 20 minutes and catch a few chair lifts and gondolas before your first run of the day - then you will be fine. I can also recommend a great little hotel recently renovated and situated right at the bottom of the run down into Nendaz. You can't get a better location with friendlier owners and a comfy room and bed. http://www.lesetagnes.ch/
