My wife and I have skied in Europe, Japan, Canada, and Colorado, as well as Australia, and while Japan and America have always been reliably good, even Austria, France, Italy and Spain can have bad seasons. 2006 was a shocker throughout Australia, but we found Falls Creek to stand out as the best, mostly due to arguably the best snowmaking and grooming teams in the country. 2008 was outstanding (despite a late start) and we skied better conditions at Falls (Falls Creek) than we found in 3 trips to Canada.
Due to a short ski season compared to America and Japan, the accommodation costs are higher, but those on a budget can still stay in Falls Creek and enjoy the best ski in - ski out resort in the country,
