Just came down from Termas de Chillan. We had some rain, but the last two days we had snow. Snow was great yesterday; big dump of pure spring powder. Although windy, we had enough runs open to keep ourselves entertained. The Nevados de Chillan hotel, excellent and pretty affordable. Our daughter, a 7 year old girl had a blast at the thermal pool and the hotel staff were awesome.
The spa was great; massage was extremely relaxing. Good food, great "Vino a la piedra" by the poolside...a real vacation on the best slopes of South America. The Termas Hotel (kept the name although has nothing to do with the real volcanic thermal water) still prickly and upscale. I guess some people may like that. I ,on the other had, favoured the homely yet sophisticated feeling of the Nevados hotel and amenities.
