I've spent one week skiing in Catedral this year (Aug 11th to Aug 16th), I have good snowfall, some sunny days, and as always in Catedral, the spectacular views and unmatched landscape. I've skied here for almost 22 years, and it's still my favourite resort. However, this season the service was the worst in many years. Lack of workers in the appropriated amounts, bad piste grooming, endless queues for main lifts, longest and best run never packed (nubes), snow cats running late in the afternoon, instead during night, lifts closed for unknown reasons, long queues in ticket offices, etc. I've heard the worst comments during the waitings for lifts opening. I think that the resort reduce the staff because the poor snow in the beginning of the season and when the big snowfall came, they did't manage to cover all the tasks related to a good resort service. I saw one lift closed during unmatched snow and sun conditions only because they didn't clean the fresh snow accumulated on the seats of the chairs. Unbelievable in a world class resort like Bariloche. I think that this season was especially bad because the late snow. But when remembering season 2007, I still think that Catedral is the best ski resort in all southern hemisphere. I hope that the company that is running the mountain service take note of the problems and do the best to correct them for the next year.
