A female-led ski touring experience in Iceland has been announced for the coming winter. Mabey Ski, the female-owned company known for curating transformative mountain journeys, has announced the new women-only ski touring week on the remote Troll Peninsula, running from 14–21 March 2026.
Limited to just six participants, the trip is guided by Captain Sara Björnsdóttir—an AIMG Level 2 certified ski guide and Icelandair airline pilot—whose deep knowledge of the terrain and empowering leadership promise an unforgettable Arctic experience. Over five days, guests will explore dramatic backcountry routes with descents plunging up to 1,100 metres straight to the Arctic Ocean.

Based at the boutique Sóti Lodge near Siglufjörður, the itinerary blends world-class ski touring with Icelandic hospitality: en-suite rooms, three-course dinners, and daily access to the neighbouring Barðslaug geothermal pool. The trip is designed for intermediate to advanced ability skiers with solid touring experience and good fitness levels.
Priced from EUR 2,950 per person (double occupancy), the package includes six nights’ accommodation, all meals, expert guiding, and packed lunches for mountain days. With Northern Lights overhead and fjords below, this intimate adventure offers more than just skiing—it’s a celebration of women supporting women in the wilds of Iceland.
