The Revolt was so popular it sold out last season, which tells you a lot. They’ve been promoted as the ‘world’s first interchangeable, fully replaceable goggles…customised by you’ so if having your own unique look is important, the Revolt may be just what you’re looking for – after all it’s not often you can be in a big ski resort like, say, Les Arcs and know that no-one else on the mountain has the same goggles as you.

Basically, you go onto the Sungod website and choose your own combination of frame colour, lens colour and strap design to create a pair of personalised ski goggles. With four frame colours, six lens tints and ten strap options there’s a huge choice.

The lens has a dual-layer spherical design with scratch-resistant coating and can be changed pretty easily at the flick of a switch on either side of the frame. The frame is very flexible and combined with triple-layer face foam provides a snug and comfy fit. Peripheral vision wasn’t the best of the goggles we tested, but it was still more than adequate, and top and bottom vents prevent fogging on what is literally a unique pair of ski goggles.
