The world’s most southerly full ski resort, Argentina’s Cerro Castor, located down in the province of Tierra del Fuego, has announced it is installing a new quad chairlift ahead of the coming ski season.

The world’s most southerly full ski resort, Argentina’s Cerro Castor, located down in the province of Tierra del Fuego, has announced it is installing a new quad chairlift ahead of the coming ski season.

The new quad will be the resort’s sixth, however it’s its first for some years, with most of the others dating back to the resort’s creation in 1998.

The new fixed-grip chairlift will have an uplift capacity of 2,400 people per hour.

The new lift will improve access to Cerro Castor's black Zorro Colorado run as well as the La Brecha and Las Lajas red runs, whilst, providing a panoramic view of the mountain.

Cerro Castor’s 2025 season is expected to start on 27th June.
