Loveland Ski Area in Colorado is busy working on construction on a new Lift 7, set to debut for the upcoming 2025–26 season. The project replaces the resort’s oldest chair—a 42-year-old fixed-grip double—with a modern Leitner-Poma fixed-grip quad.

Loveland, one of America and the world’s top 10 highest ski centres, is usually one of the first to open in North America each autumn, often starting snowmaking in late September and aiming to open by late October or early November for a seven month season.

Concrete has already been poured for the top terminal and towers, and the new lift will feature extra-wide carriers, intentionally loaded with no more than three passengers to give beginners more space and comfort.

Serving the gentle terrain of Loveland Valley, Lift 7 is a cornerstone of the resort’s ski school and beginner programs.

The upgrade is part of Loveland’s broader commitment to enhancing its offer with additional improvements planned for the Zig Zag trail and parking infrastructure.
