Les 2 Alpes To Stay Open For Skiing For Another 4 Months
Spring may be here but the 25-26 season isn't yet halfway through at Les 2 Alpes, which has confirmed that skiing will continue all the way to 5 July this year. It gives the French resort one of the longest lift‑served seasons in Europe and the longest in France.
Spring may be here but the 25-26 season isn't yet halfway through at Les 2 Alpes, which has confirmed that skiing will continue all the way to 5 July this year. It gives the French resort one of the longest lift‑served seasons in Europe and the longest in France.
Thanks to its high‑altitude glacier, which rises to 3,600 m, and a deep spring snowpack currently measuring more than 3.5 m (around 12 feet) on the upper slopes, the resort is able to keep lifts turning long after most Alpine destinations have closed for summer.
The full winter ski area remains open until early May, before operations shift to the glacier for the early‑summer period, offering wide pistes, race lanes and a dedicated snowpark. Mornings typically bring firm, fast conditions ideal for training, softening into classic spring‑snow laps by early afternoon, all accessed via the state-of-the-art Jandri Express, which reaches 3,200 m in under 20 minutes.
The extended season reinforces Les 2 Alpes’ position as on e of France’s most reliable long‑season destinations. Its combination of altitude, glacier terrain and consistent late‑season snowfall continues to attract race teams, freestyle camps and recreational skiers looking for late-spring and early‑summer turns.
Lift‑pass prices drop through spring, with rates falling to €56 from 11 April and then to €52 from 4 May through to the final day of skiing on 5 July.
