Freeride World Tour Back in Fieberbrunn For The Cut

The FIS Freeride World Tour, sponsored by skiwear brand Peak Performance, returns to Austria this week for the fourth and final stop before the Cut. Following the cancellation of both the Georgia Pro third stop and of its planned restaging in Kühtai near Innsbruck.

Athletes now shift their focus to Fieberbrunn’s legendary Wildseeloder face. With valuable points left unclaimed earlier in the season, the pressure is on as riders battle for qualification to the two FWT Finals.

As the last event before the Cut, the Fieberbrunn Pro represents a defining moment in the season. Only the top-ranked athletes in each category will advance to the FWT Finals, making this competition a decisive showdown. Every turn, drop, and landing will count as competitors aim to secure their place among the world’s elite.

The competition weather window runs from March 5 to 10, allowing organizers to select the optimal day to ensure the best possible freeride conditions on the Wildseeloder.

Nestled in the heart of the Austrian Alps, Fieberbrunn has been a cornerstone of the Freeride World Tour calendar since 2011. Known for its electric atmosphere and passionate fans, the destination blends world-class freeriding with a dynamic event experience.

At the heart of the action is the iconic Wildseeloder. Since debuting on the Tour in 2013, the 2,119-meter peak has become synonymous with high-stakes performances. Featuring a 583-meter vertical drop and an average gradient of 48 degrees, the face challenges riders with steep chutes, exposed cliffs, and complex technical features. Precision, control, and creativity are essential on terrain that leaves no room for error.

Fans can experience the excitement firsthand at the event village in Fieberbrunn from March 6-8, which will host live broadcasts, athlete meet-and-greets, partner activations, and interactive activities throughout the competition window.

The FIS Freeride World Tour is reminding all stakeholders that the Tyrol region is currently experiencing a high avalanche danger rating. Public safety remains a top priority, and all visitors are strongly advised to follow official guidance and exercise extreme caution when venturing into the backcountry.
