The giant French Paradiski ski region is set to take laughter sky-high this winter with the launch of the Paradiski Comedy Club, billed as the world’s highest stand-up show.

Running from 16–27 February 2026, the event will transform the iconic cabins of the Vanoise Express cable car, suspended 380 metres (1,247 feet) above the ground, into a unique stage for bilingual French/English comedians to entertain skiers crossing between Les Arcs and La Plagne.

In collaboration with the Métro Comedy Club, best known for its underground performances on the Paris metro, the alpine edition will bring established comedians to an intimate setting, performing in both French and English during the four-minute journey. Skiers with a Paradiski lift pass can catch shows every weekday between 10am–12pm and 2–4pm, with each five-minute set promising a “high-flying” mix of styles.

The line-up features members of the Métro Comedy Club, including Sin and Adrien Audo, alongside celebrated performers such as Louis Chappey, Dolino, Marine Ella, Lala Sagna, Denis Sireyjol and Cindy Oliveira.

Paradiski has a history of bold, creative initiatives designed to surprise visitors. Over the past 22 years, the Vanoise Express has hosted everything from designer cabin coverings by Castelbajac to gourmet dinners in the sky and even a highwire crossing between its twin cabins. This season, the focus is humour, with comedians performing on a stage in the lower cabin of the double-decker lift while a live broadcast streams to passengers above.

Incorporating Les Arcs/Peisey-Vallandry and La Plagne, Paradiski is the third-largest ski area in the world by several measures, boasting 425 kilometres of slopes, 70% of which lie above 2,000 metres, with two peaks topping 3,000 metres. Since 2003, the Vanoise Express has linked the massifs of Les Arcs/Peisey-Vallandry and La Plagne in just four minutes.
