Organisers have confirmed that the final stop of the FIS Freeride World Tour, sponsored by Peak Performance, will take place this upcoming Saturday, March 28, with the YETI Xtreme Verbier set to determine the 2026 world champions.

The season finale will once again unfold on the Bec des Rosses, the Tour’s most iconic and demanding venue. A field of 29 athletes will compete for the sport’s top honours in what is expected to be one of the most closely contested finales in recent years. With no clear favourites across the four categories, titles remain wide open heading into the final event.

Rising to 3,223 metres, the Bec des Rosses is widely regarded as freeride’s ultimate test piece. Its 600‑metre vertical drop and slopes reaching 51 degrees require riders to navigate exposed ridgelines, narrow couloirs and major cliff features. The face has defined the discipline for more than three decades, and Saturday’s competition will see a new generation attempt to add their names to its storied history.

Cable cars will open early at 7:30 AM to accommodate spectators heading to the mountain. Live coverage begins at 9:15 AM CET with the first rider set to drop at  9:30 AM CET. The dropping order will be announced in the coming days.

Verbier is preparing for a full weekend of festivities as athletes, fans and industry partners gather for the Tour’s conclusion. The event village on Rue de Médran will operate from Friday at 12:00 PM through Sunday at 5:00 PM, featuring DJ sets, brand activations and rider signing sessions. A Ski Test Village at Ruinettes will run on Saturday and Sunday, offering visitors the chance to try the latest equipment.

To reduce the event’s environmental impact, the FWT is encouraging spectators to travel by train. Visitors arriving at Le Châble by rail will receive a 40% discount on ski passes, offered in partnership with Swiss Olympic’s Climate Fund and myclimate.  The offer is valid on March 28 and 29. To take advantage present your train ticket at the FWT booth on arrival in resort to receive a discount voucher, then use the voucher code to purchase a ski pass on the Verbier 4 Vallées website.
