White Pass isn't the biggest resort and the closest charming ski town is tiny, only modestly charming and 20 minutes away. Lodging, dining and apres options are very limited.
BUT...
Hands down some of the best snow in Washington, stunning views of Mt Rainier and surrounding Cascades, and plenty of varied terrain for every type of skier/boarder. Lines are rarely more than 15 minutes, and mid-week is eternal lap-land. And lastly, you won't find a better vibe anywhere - staff and locals love this place for good reasons, and they'll happily share it with you.

White Pass has some of the best Powder in WA. Since they doubled their size in the 2010-11 season, they are never crowded. Even on the busiest days of the season, the longest lift line is 10-15 minutes. The terrain has everything from cliffs and steeps to super easy bunny hill for beginners and everything in between. If you want to ski, White Pass is the place to go.

If you want a relaxed, inexpensive, not very busy, and powder ride, come to White Pass. It is close to all cities in Washington and never very crowded. There is a nice half pipe and many snowboard-tailored jumps and trails. They even have night skiing which is included in the ticket price of a full day.The powder is soft, the people are nice, and the fun is great. The only real drawbacks are it isn't a real big resort and there are not a whole lot of choices for lifts, though the ones they have are very sufficient. Overall, White Pass is a great resort and that is why I go there every weekend I can during it's LONG season.
