I have been going to Austria for about 14 years now and have been to most of the resorts. St Johann is a very family friendly resort and my 9 year old daughter enjoyed it so much that she has insisted that we return this year. The ski school staff are excellent and the pistes are very well prepared. A highlight of the week for us was the demonstration of skiing by the ski instructors half way through the week, it helps of course that it all happens outside of a very good apri ski bar! The resort is easy to navigate around and the skiing is more enjoyable than challenging, while the night life is varied and good value. The snow conditions last year were some of the best that I have ever skied on, including Canada and the States, so fingers crossed for more this year, cant wait.

I have been going here for 3 years now although I'm young I'm an expert skier so I like my blacks, unfortunately there is only one but you can find loads of jumps. All the bars and restaurants are very friendly and are nice to sit and eat and watch the scenery.

I have been a ski-instructor in St. Johann for more than 20 years (part-time now) and would have no hesitation in suggesting this resort for beginner / intermediate skiers and / or families. St. Johann proves that skiing is an ambience and not just a sport. The ski-aways are all very close and getting around is fairly easy. Those of you who choose to go, ENJOY. And for those of you who choose to go elsewhere, ENJOY.

This is our 4th trip to St Johann in Tirol. A good resort for beginners and intermediates, with a good selection of blue and red runs. Only one black run, not too challenging but overall an enjoyable place to ski. Great selection of mountain restaurants. Very picturesque village with a good selections of accommodation, bars and restaurants. Try it you might like it!

Our family has visited St Johann every year since 1989. It's a friendly resort, with a nice variety of slopes and a good snow record - but there's only one fairly easy black run for the macho skier. The resort probably has the best selection of ski bars anywhere in the Alps! We like the Park Hotel: http://www.park.at
