We used to come to Killington every April for a week with a very large international group. It seems that since the new owners took over, the lifts closes earlier and earlier each year. They've once again closed down all beginner skiing before our annual trip. I've maintained contact with a few folks in the Killington area that I consider to be friends. We met skiing. They tell me the mountain is still 100% covered in snow. With groups that want to come ski, why doesn't Killington want their business? So much for being called the Beast. Feels more like the Bust.
Working under Powdr Corp is an institutional challenge. Local management works hard to overcome their shortcomings. Killington is managed as a business...it's no longer a ski resort. And the bottom line is more important than the customer.
Killington local management does the best they can, but their parent company Powdr Corp is the most deceitful, dishonest, untrustworthy, and inept group of bottom-dwellers in the ski business. Boycott Powdr!
Hey folks, time for bad news... Killington was working tirelessly to return to the top of the Eastern ski market, but has fallen behind the times when it comes to value in the ski industry. Outdated lodges, unreliable lift operations, poor season pass product offerings (they want you to sign an unbreakable contract), weather closures (who closes a ski resort for snowstorms?), reduced snowmaking operations, and business decisions being made by an inept, out-of-town parent company. Powdr, currently being touted as the joke of the North American ski industry, owns Killington. Killington is moving in the wrong direction; spend your vacation dollars elsewhere.

Hey folks, chiming in from The Beast. A slow start to the season in the northeast has left Killington the only early season game in town (again). Killington has the upper mountain open for skiing and riding accessed by the K1 Gondola and the Northridge Triple. Snowmaking has been augmented by 18" of early snowfall and the Superstar trail is being hammered top to bottom in preparation for the Womens World Cup races at the end of the month. If you've got the itch to slide, Killington has what you need. Get up and go! See you out there.

Killington is in full rock star mode as every aspect of the mountain is open with wall to wall snow and stellar mountain conditions. Woods, steeps, nats, groomers, moguls, parks, cliffs...are all in prime condition. February has served up 4 feet of snow, so far, with more in the forecast. East coast skiing doesn't get much better than Killington, and it doesn't get any better than it is right now! The time to play is now. Get here if you can.
Killington is succeeding in it's return to the top of the east with it's commitment to an early opening, late spring skiing, snowmaking, and customer service. First to open, last to close, with snowguns roaring through March. Makes skiers and riders very happy.
Killington now has got the Wow factor back no more negative comments on the lifts, just warm and fuzzy banter. Thank you, to another reviewer, for your foresight. The good news will spread and Killington will be King of the East again.
Is spring skiing on your schedule? Killington will be blowing snow all week. Yes it's mid-March. In preparation for a long spring skiing season well into May. Base depths are deep on Superstar, so make sure your sunscreen is stocked up and wax up those mogul skis. If you love the bumps, the next 2 months + is game on at Killington. Lets start working on those goggle tans!
Killington has got its mojo back under new President, Mike Solimano. He and his team have been delivering on promises to return Killington to what made it the "Beast of the East". Snow making has been relentless, grooming superb, and there's a new vibe to the place. BMMC will return with a vengeance in April, and they are currently planning to stay open into May after being the first to open in the East last October. Killington is back!
