Best ever off-track wild skiing; believe it or not. Slopes are great descending from the Ainata pass towards a place called Shagura. 4 kms of superb and varied downhill compares to best international resorts ...and this is the Middle East !
I had never been to the Cedars in my life, had very high hopes for the place. I quickly realized the very bad management, facilities were very old and outdated, and people just wanted to rip you off.
This could be the best resort in Lebanon, but without the funding and proper management, it will be just a sorry excuse of a resort. Faraya Mzaar in Kfardebian is much better.

I will refrain from telling everyone how much they are missing by not skiing at Cedars - before you know it the place will be like any other resort!
Selfish I know, but when you have heaven on earth why spoil it?
Cedars: best skiing resort in Lebanon. Affordable and almost free. Don't forget, when you are hungry, to pass by snow snack and taste the delicious home made sandwiches.
Lebanon is the best country in the world.
The Cedars is a great place for skiers. The Cedars Conservancy parks in Lebanon were candidates in the New 7 wonders of Nature competition, it is a very lovely place, visit it.
The Cedars offers most to the good skier. Perched on a natural platform 6,000 feet above the Mediterranean, in a great bowl scooped from the flanks of peaks that reach up to 10,500 feet, the resort is blessed with breathtaking beauty, the fame of its six thousand-year-old cedar trees. Cedars is a great place to be.
The Cedars is the best resort I've ever seen. It has nice ski slopes and the Cedars forest (oldest forest in the world). It is the home town of the world famous Gebran Khalil Gebran.
Cedars is beautiful and authentic. If you are a nature lover and like 'unsophisticated' places, if you love skiing 'hors-piste' and you don't mind 'rough' snow then Cedars is for you.
