  Small ski center with only one very slow and old chair-lift. The runs are not packed well and the snow machines can't cover the problems due to the high temperatures...some good runs for intermediate skiers but considerably small.
  Good solution for Greeks staying near the region or Salonika.

  3-5 Pigadia is one of the most popular ski resorts in northern Greece. It is becoming more and more popular as a training ground for Greek skiing teams due to the improved snow cover provided by the artificial snow making installations. Even thought these installations work frequently at the start and close of the season, snow quality is generally quite good, with excellent weather (it is frequently sunny with clear skies) Although quite small, it has a friendly atmopshere and does have some challenging terrain. It is rapidly developing, with the recent addition of a terrain park with several large snow ramps for snowboarders and extreme skiers, who up to recently had to make do with constructing their own ramps and in teh process disturbing other users of teh resort. Unfortunately, it does tend to get crowded at weekends when skiers from the surrounding towns and cities converge on the resort for a couple of hours of fun.
