Pec pod Sněžkou Ski Resort Guide
Pec pod Sněžkou Ski Resort Guide (resort name also written as Pec pod Snezkou)
Pec pod Sněžkou, in the Krkonoše mountains, is the usual starting point for the climbing route to Sněžka, the highest mountain in the Czech Republic (whether on skis or on foot). It also boasts a fairly extensive (9km) network of mostly open slopes suited to early-intermediates, with an efficient lift system that makes up the largest of the Krkonoše resorts. There is lively nightlife at Pec pod Sněžkou; the most extensive night skiing in the Czech Republic. There are also a snowboard park and pipe at Pec pod Sněžkou. A number of pretty good hotels are nearby. Accommodation at Pec pod Sněžkou includes a couple of ugly blocks from the Soviet-era. Little to challenge experts here but plenty to entertain beginners and intermediates.
