Northstar-at-Tahoe is the pride of the Booth Creek network of winter resorts. Now, almost three decades mature, Northstar offers an excellent family experience. Its vertical drop is 2,280 feet and its longest run (out of 70) is nearly 3 miles. Northstar's mix of runs is 25 percent beginner and advanced, and 50 percent intermediate. Ski or ride on 2,240 acres of terrain. 200 acres of advanced terrain have been added, accessed by a new high speed quad. This terrain has a 1,200-foot vertical drop and a 35 percent pitch. Northstar at Tahoe recently completed a $2.5 million upgrade to their snow-making system. There are 260 on-site condos that accommodate 2 to 10 persons. There is no facility for overnight campers.
