Donner Ski Ranch was first utilized for skiing in 1937 and is located high atop historic Donner Summit. The area's first rope tow was located at the base of the current lodge. Today, Donner Ski Ranch has 400 skiable acres, 5 double and 1 triple chairlifts. Slope side lodging at the Summit House with 'ski in/ski out' is available. Additional lodging facilities are nearby and in Truckee, approximately 10 miles away from Donner Ski Ranch.

Donner Ski Ranch is a great place to take your family. Granted, there aren't very many slopes, but the variety and quality is just fine. It's all you really need. And with the economy like it is, Donner Ski Ranch is the perfect getaway.
