Visitor Reviews of Arosa

Helen Onions from FRANCE writes:

We run a catered chalet in Arosa which we feel is quite a unique resort with it's Swiss mountain train from the oldest city in Switzerland (connected by intercity train from Zurich), the quality and friendliness of service, beauty, activities, apres-ski...a refreshingly relaxed and easy-going all round resort.
The adventurous skier should buy the Ski Safari pass (an extension of 20CHF per day to the Arosa pass), which allows you to ski off the back of the Hornli ridge (at the top of the Hornli gondola) to meet Tchiertschen lifts, which take you to the Lenzerheide ski area, and then you return back to the bottom of the Hornli cable car at the end of an exhilerating day.
Also, an early morning train from Arosa to Davos would enable you to catch the first lifts of Davos ski area to return over the ridge to Arosa, via Langwies, which offers a free mountain train service (10 minutes) to Arosa with the Arosa lift pass.
Arosa is a very lovely place to have as a base to enjoy the unspoilt, high altitude mountains, and why not choose Chalet Runca (saturday to saturday) to stay, with all its home comforts and resident chef?!
