Ski-Lifts are delighted to be supporting this amazing charity and help raise funds to enable disabled people to take part in snow sports and get active on the slopes. Ski2freedom has established itself as a major portal providing comprehensive information on snow-sport and mountain activities globally for disabled people. Ski2Freedom empowers young people and adults with disabilities and their families with the knowledge of what is required to get them out onto the snow – regardless of their individual needs and requirements. Ski2Freedom has helped people with physical, sensory, mental disability, special needs (learning, speech & communication) life-challenging illness, mental health, trauma etc. get out on to the snow and enjoy the freedom and sense of adventure only the mountains can offer. Getting people with a disability out onto the snow can help them to regain self-confidence, become physically pro-active and has proved to be very therapeutic, all of this leads to a general sense of inclusion both within a family, local community and wider society environment and has even helped people increase in confidence to the point of changing their lives and gain employment opportunities.
