Beautiful blue-bird day! Still lots of snow. This has been an exceptional ski year.

Grooming of the nordic ski trails has been very inconsistent this year, especially on the classic track setting. Some days, the groomer track setter wiggles around unnecessarily, resulting in many small and larger curves in the track, some of which could trip up a skier on a curve or hill. It's at all the same quality of the track setting at Sovereign Lakes in Vernon or Whistler Olympic Park. Because other days the grooming at Mt. Washington is smooth and well done, I wonder if the groomer drivers are being trained properly for classic skiers.

As the season starts to wind down, it seems that the grooming has been winding down as well. Fewer runs groomed, runs that are supposed to be groomed (according to the groomed run report) that are not. With the overall grooming this year, I would definitely think the ski patrol has been busier than usual. Why? Not fair to beginners, not fair to people who ski the groomers, not fair to the older skiers. My recommendation: replace the head of grooming and if his/her orders came from the new GM, replace him/her as well. It is inexcusable and as a pass holder, I think we all should get a decent discount next season for the grooming blunders. Not acceptable!

The grooming has been very inconsistent this season under the new GM. Usually you have to ski run to run on a daily basis to find the ones that were groomed properly. Today the less than normal runs that were groomed had ball-bearing sized snow balls on all of them as well as holes from the machines tracks and blades. It is unbelievable that a resort with 6 plus $500,000 high tech grooming machines can’t find a way to have grooming that is somewhat comparable with most other big ski areas in BC. Very disappointing since the off-piste has been frozen solid for most of the winter and pow days have been limited; lift rates are still $95 a day even though the product on the slopes has been so poor?

Nordic grooming inconsistent especially after a snowfall. Management refuses to use groomer during opening hours unlike previous owners. Money saver I guess. Will be looking at different resort next yeat for hollidays

I was skiing on Wednesday February 13th at Mount Washington and found the grooming to be much improved from last month and still some pow to be had off the piste. We had a great day.

Another great season up Mt Washington! Big crowds this season with all the new folks arriving on Vancouver Island. Great job keeping things going Staff! Two beefs though: 1-Crappy snow reports on the website. 2-What's with people leaving their gear spewed all over the place at the lodge entrances? Use the racks! Irresponsibly leaving your gear laying around at facility entries creates a huge injury risk for anybody walking in the area during a snowfall. I ski all over this province and this is the only place where I experience this rude behaviour! Get out there and enjoy this gem of a ski hill!

The grooming these past 21/2 weeks has been the best grooming I’ve ever seen in the past 20 years. Pretty near every run has been groomed every day this past week and grooming has been a lot better quality. We have had low temps and frozen conditions so the groomed runs have been great. I wrote an email to GM complaining about grooming on January 15th and received a prompt response about the difficulties they had encountered this season. But at that point it was the worse grooming ever and they were responsible for it. That said, the grooming since then has been the best ever even on weekdays. Thanks to all at the mountain who heard us. I’m sure word will get out.

Skiing the Mt Feb 6. Grooming was great. Seems the past negative grooming comments are working..Both sides keep up the good work. See you again soon at the happiest place on the Island.

The grooming at Mount Washington is the worst I've ever experienced. This season it has been hit and miss, usually amiss. I was told by staff that the groomers and mechanics are inexperienced, and it really shows. The new owners are not taking these complaints seriously and are in la-la-land about how to properly run a ski operation. Lately, it's not worth the trip up the mountain.
