Recently, the price-list was published for the 2008-2009 season for the Mount of Parnasus.
For people not aware of the Greek language,it must have been a mastermind, the so called "Drivas-Mind" that thought of the system used.
You actually need to use Advanced Diofantine Algorithms to Define X,Y so you can know how much you need to pay...

Parnassos (Mount Parnassos) is a beautiful mountain as such with tremendous potential. Close to Athens, accessible, and close to the sea. Can be blissfully combined with a visit to the seaside afterwards.
That would be even more true for the resort if the runs were groomed, the prices more adapted to the services offered (18 euros on weekends would be acceptable) given that the resort is really small compared to what Europe offers. Restoration is at least sad and very expensive. No warm food is offered, and a cup of coffee is a total rip off.
The nearby hotels are really expensive given the infrastructure and services offered (why should a sauna or Hamam be considered a luxury while it is the standard even for hotels in countries such as Bulgaria?)
So personally, although I live in Greece and work for a lawyers office I got myself a 7 nights booking in Chamonix , Mont Blanc, at a 4 stars hotel with the flights included for 600 euro.
At least I am sure the mountain is glorious, there is a real ski culture.
Cheers,
Lars,

Some facts about Mount Parnassos:
Last year they were operating almost 80% of the lifts, even pn working days.
In terms of snowfall: 2006 was a really bad year, since then every year seems to become better and better .
Mount Parnassos needs our support to improve it's quality and services in order to keep on giving us the opportunity to ski every weekend in our hot south and beautiful country.

It's 1:30 hours from Athens to the slopes of Mount Parnassos. The mountain is easily accessible and good enough for us to spend a weekend or a weekday where the slopes are practically empty. The pistes are really not that bad; there are more than 30 different runs from 1-5 km. We do have a small snow park with 3-4 proper jumps and a couple of rails. When we want to spend 1000s, yes, we do go abroad where the slopes are bigger and better.

Parnassos Ski Center (Mount Parnassos): we're talking about the biggest and the most organized resort in Greece about 1.5 hours from Athens. Usually with very good snow quantity and quality. As I know, in the last 2 years a new company has taken responsibility for safety and operations and lots of new projects are taking place at Mount Parnassos.
