34 winters on my back. Been skiing this mountain since i was 5. Overpriced, usually crowded, and always the problematic lift of Sahara. Ok, i am used to all that but this year's case is unique. Like it or not, the season in Greece lasts for 2 months. For decent skiing, that is, and a bit of off-piste. On the 1st of January, with fresh snow and clear skies, the parkings were not open! We left our car 1,6 km away (from the resort) because of the traffic jam, as there was no space to park your vehicle. Yesterday (Sunday), with relatively bad conditions though, the resort was closed as they were "preparing" themselves for the following days. They even posted a ridiculous announcement, explaining how unprecedented the amount of snow was and the conditions were this year.. blah, blah, blah. It's a seasonal (60 days) job, for Christ's sake! If you are not prepared, or fully staffed this is your problem. It's not Mount Everest but a 2200m altitude (peak).
So, since all of us customers are prepared to pay you double than the other resorts, do yourselves a favour (if you respect us customers) and be prepared on time, please.

Expensive (27euros for 12 lifts!), very old equipment, not at all educated personel (most of them are arrogant and upset all the time, as if they work without being paid!)
Don't visit that place! It isn't worth it at all!
If you want to ski in Greece go to N. Greece (Falakro, Voras, Vasilitsa, Vigla, Seli, Pelion)! at least people there are more friendly. It is cheaper and less crowded!!!!

I've been skiing at Mt. Parnassos (Mount Parnassos) since I was 7 years old. The mountain is extremely beautiful and even though I agree that the resort's management is overcharging on the weekends I still go every weekend if weather permits it due to the fact that it is the closest sking resort to Athens. Some might say that Helmos, in Kalavryta, is the same distance, I cannot argue that point but Mt Parnassos is much better for me. Don't get me wrong I like Kalavryta as well but not as much as Parnassos. Some information about a large sum that is going to be invested for upgrading the equipment, most of which are from the 70's and 80's, is highly expected by skiers all over let's hope that this money is going to be spend wisely.
Cheers.

Addressing the resort's management team directly:
It doesn't make any sense...how dare they set the daily cost per adult at 25€! It is very upsetting! In the year 2017, when the vast majority of Greeks are struggling to make ends meet, the rest of the ski resorts in Greece either retained the same prices or decreased them and Parnassos should follow suit! On the other hand they raised the prices by 66%!! Undoubtedly, the most ridiculous decision ever made! I don't know about you, but I prefer Kalavrita with 15€ daily rate! Not to mention that there are a great deal of special offers through the internet that make a daily visit to Kalavrita even cheaper!

I've been raised in Mount Parnassos but the last recent years I am very disapointed with the resort..very high prices, no new slopes and we have so many..no snow parks for freestyle skiers and snowboarders!! In other words an abandoned ski resort that everyone thinks to be the coolest!!! Please do something quick!!!

I have lived in Switzerland and Greece. Parnasos (Mount Parnassos) is a total rip off. Th quality of service is low and the prices are higher than Switzerland in everything. Taking into account the cost per skiing kilometer it is outragious. Save your money and go to Chamonix, Zermatt or even St Moritz any time off the high season. If you go to Austrian smaller ski resorts, even better. Check your self and compare with any travel agency specializing in ski vacations

Parnassos skiing is a wonderful place as such, with at the moment, great snow and nice view! BUT and there is a big BUT, it is run by complete amateures!!! Neither cultivating nor developing ANY ski culture. Safety measures are poor with very old lifts, in any other country they would have been closed years ago, with pist machines driving around in rally speed without any warning, lifts beeing closed because they are frozen!!! surprise, surprise it is cold in a ski resort!! and this happens only in Greece!! Prices are expensive, not only the skipass but the coffee too, 4 euros must be by large the most expensive coffee in Europe.
It is to my great sadness that things are like this thus the mountain has such potential. Yet an other example of disrespect towards nature and people. I strongly suggest new management!!!!

Paranassos ski resort has 3 skiing areas:
Kelaria (the most popular, 'trendy' but packed), Gerondovrachos that is only open in weekends (really nice place, but no infrastructure - I wish someone invested on this part of the mountain) and Fterolaka (a more quiet place, favorite to 'real' ski lovers and not to ski fashion victims).
If you want to visit during weekends be aware that Kelaria will be PACKED with people that have skied a few times and think that are experts already. You wont find any real ski behavior there, donât expect to be respected, and for God sake watch out for human ski torpedoes (beginners that ski down the slopes having no control over their skis).
This nice picture for 25 Euros, plus huge jammed queues, and a lot of walking from and to the parking lot. (Make sure that you arrive very early in the morning to park near the bottom lift).
For a nice family atmosphere visit Gerondovrachos (make sure that it is open and running). It is good and safe for kids.
If you want to ski down a red that tends to be black at some points visit Fterolaka. You will pay a cheaper ticket (15 euros), parking will be normal, as well as skiing behavior.
Plus you can ski down to Kelaria to make some public relations with 'trendy people' that smoke 20 cm Cohiba cigars on the chairlift.

The resort was very poor. At 25 euros for three rickety old lifts (with all safety features either removed or unservicable), it was by far the most expensive outdoor day's skiing I've ever had, nearly beating even MK's Snowzone. One's fellow skiers were rude, there was no no lift queue (laughable term at Parnassos), etiquette. Unmarked 'pistes' (another laughable term), with so many unmarked rocks that I warned other members not to take their best (or indeed their own) skis. Only James Bond would be able to drive Athens to Parnassos in 2 hours. Every one else would take three and a half. Yes, it is strange to find skiing in Greece, but you'd probably go only once.

I visited Parnassos first time last year. I couldn't believe that in Greece you can find a skiing resort just 30 minutes from the sea!Good quality of snow, and for almost all the level of experiences. But the best one was afterthen in Arahova. Beautiful, village with panoramic view to the sea.Plenty of restaurants, bars and clubs with a wild nightlife and full of beautiful people. Skiing during the morning and clubing during the night. You have to visit this place in any case.
