What's it like at La Plagne resort?

La Plagne is made up of a number of villages that connect to a vast 220 km piste network, within the Paradiski area. With the new Vanoise express now linking Les Arc, it is one of the largest ski areas in the world with over 420 km of piste! And then there is the off-piste...acres of alpine terrain. One note of caution; La Plagne has a lot of flat spots so snowboarders often have to do some walking. Off the slopes the purpose built resort of La Plagne has enough bars and restaurants to keep everyone fed and watered.

Joe from United Kingdom writes:

Disappointed with resort's piste closures. High season 2nd week of February after heavy snow fall. Some runs appears to be still closed after a few days. Especially the only 2 runs to ski down to Champagny En Vanoise are closed all the time. So, if you stay in the valley you can only take the bubble down and cannot ski home.
