Fernie Alpine Resort is located 3 miles/5 km from the city of Fernie, in
southeastern British Columbia, on the west side of the Canadian Rockies.
Known for its inbound steeps, Fernie has been compared to Red Mountain,
Alta, Snowbird, Crested Butte, and Jay Peak. It has five alpine bowls, along
with a wide variety of groomed runs. For starters, take a complimentary tour
to learn your way around this complex mountain. Off the piste, there are a
variety of on-mountain lodging properties ranging from hotels, condominiums
to private homes. A regular scheduled shuttle bus operates between the town
and the resort on a daily and evening basis during the winter season.

Visitor Reviews of Fernie

wes from Spain writes:

Went to Fernie several years ago for its mythical powder for 2 weeks and didn't see the sun once. Gave up after 5 days not being able to ski and hired a pick up truck and explored the hot springs instead. I have since had some of the best powder skiing here in Spain of all places. Will not be going back to Fernie.
