There in Jan 06, really good quality service as you tend to expect in the US, friendly and occasionally perturbing for the sarcy european! Conditions fantastic real rockies powder snow, it seriously dumps here like the other resorts in the area. Very high resort, accomodation at around 3,000 metres so it takes a while to adjust to the altitude. It effects some more than others. The tree runs some of the best I've ever done with great glade areas which keep you busy on white out days. The bowls out the back other good off piste and during the week after a dump are awesome as no one is around. Being 2 hours from Denver it can get crowded at the weekend but go for the beeline lift ticket and you go straight past everyone, nice. Good park with 3 pipes, the terrain and conditions differs a lot from the French Alps where I ride most of the time, runs seemed less steep, tree line much higher but the quality of the snow is exceptional. Go for 10 days or more from Europe, check out Frisco for a real town Colorado beer and burger. Food ok ish, there is a good salad bar at the main food hall to get your five a day otherwise you'll struggle! Shops offer good range and price of kit excellent service, cheap compared with Europe. Bus and lifts are faultless, apres ski is a bit sleepy though no weird drinking songs here. Couple of good bars for later on if not a little expensive. I would go again or to another resort nearby like Winter Park

Visited Copper Jan 10th 2012 for 10 days. As has been stated, it's a long way to go for a week but we were lucky with the deal we got which meant 10 cost us the same as 7 in Europe! My wife and I could be the ultimate "mixed ability" group as she only skis gentle slopes and I like to think I can ski most terrain in a resort and at Copper Mountain that is the case. The way the trails have been cut etc means that the mountain moves from right to left getting progressively more difficult which means that unlike many resorts in Europe those skiers who are beginners or very timid will not find themselves on terrain they should not be on. The trails are well signposted and the larger chairlifts have a trail map printed on the safety bar as well. According to the locals they have not had the best snow year and had not yet been able to open many of the "off-piste" bowls etc, but on my humble opinion the "on-piste" was better than most European resorts I have visited . One of the most noticeable aspects is the friendliness and politeness of lifties, bar and cafe and shop staff, all seem to enjoy having you there unlike many French resorts where you are a necessary evil, service with a smile instead of a snarl. There are no full service hotels at Copper, it is all self catering and the accommodation can range from a simple one room two bed apartment up to houses the size of a small castle!! according to your budget. The apres is not like Europe and most bars and restaurants are quiet after 9 or 10 but the range of cuisine available is pretty good. I would recommend the Alpinista for breakfast and for a special night out the CB grill portions are big compared to Europe but I considered the meals to be of good value and quality, beware though Copper Mountain is very high compared to all European resorts and you must keep drinking the water and try and stay off the beer if possible for a couple of days at least. We loved the whole place and will be back soon.

First time, in USA, in 2010 and stayed at Copper for 7 days with my adult son. Had a great experience (even though I injured a knee after catching an edge on a lift). Food is great, service overall was very good, and is well placed to do factory outlets and visit Dillon and Silverthorne for days out. Nightlife slow - but was exhausted from the slopes; only intermediate skier but soooo good there! As with most of the Colorado experience, people are real friendly (especially if you are an Aussie) so take the time to talk on the lifts. And if you're from Australia get used to no slow queues on lifts. But also the locals don't use chair restraint bars. Also, if it's your first time in the Rocky Mtns go hot tubing under the night sky, fantastic. The high elevation dry cold means you can enjoy it.

We live in Denver area and go to Copper usually once every week. This year, we got a ton of snow at the beginning of the season so most runs were open early which was great. Problem now is that we are going through a dry spell. And, when there's a dry spell you want to ski at Copper Mtn. Copper always has good snow even if it's been a week or two without new snow. Vail gets crusty, Keystone gets rocky, Breckenridge gets wind blown. But, somehow, especially in the dry years we wind up going back to Copper and if we go anywhere else we ask ourselves, "Why didn't we just go to Copper?"

A group of 5 of us from 4 different households booked a stay at Copper Mountain for February 2021. We, unfortunately, had to cancel due to COVID related lodging restrictions which would force us to purchase multiple rooms rather than the single room we had already reserved, which would cost a tremendous amount more. We paid over $1500 as a group for our lift tickets and Copper Mountain is refusing to provide vouchers to be used next year! They are taking our $1500 for nothing in return. We are not asking for our money back, but simply for a voucher. Each pass comes with a Passholder Promise which includes a voucher should the resort close for 7 consecutive days or 21 days total in the season due to COVID, but does not address COVID related lodging restrictions which were put in place after we booked our trip, therefore they will not give us a voucher. Do not book in advance with them because, if COVID gets in the way, they don't care. They just want your money.

We just had our photo shoot at Copper for our new ski sweater line. We contacted a few of the resorts in the area, but Copper was by far the most accommodating. Their fees were reasonable and Mike Junius and the rest of the team were gracious hosts and recommended some nice areas to shoot. We can't wait to go back again. Blue bird skies, no wind and 5" of fresh snow certainly helped!
