Not much to do on days when skiing is difficult due to the weather.
Pool and wellness centre are very nice, but get busy on days when the weather is bad.

I live in Whistler Creekside and ski 100+ days per year here. Compared to Tignes/ Val D'Isere; Whistler is a fart in a wind-storm; as the Scale is off the charts! This place rocks for an expert skier like me. Also: Excellent foods prepared by someone who cares! Compared to what Vail charges here for lifts and food; We are getting burned. My favourite photo here: from up some funky poma-lift from Val Claret looking across to the Tufts lift: My blue-sky boot-top-pow warm-up run down to the kilometer vertical of the Grande Motte funicular... ha! It is fun to be an expert with Fifty 100+-day seasons. I skied with three Swedes I met and All had FIS national or World Cup races in their history. We Rocked !

the shuttle bus is a very good service around tignes.
the shuttle bus is a very good service around tignes. However shuttles to and from Val disere are sparse and over crowded. The views from the glacier are exceptional and the resort is very well run by the pisteurs etc. For experienced advanced and intermediate skiers this resort is fantastic. for beginners planning a route is a must.

Tignes was a great resort.
Tignes was a great resort. Everything was within walking distance of our apartment but there was an also a great free bus service.
We loved the restaurant La Julietta - the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was great. We ate there twice.
We wanted to eat at The Brasserie L’Alpin and went in on the off chance one evening to ask if they had any availability. There were empty tables (it was about 8.30pm) but we were told they were full in quite a rude manner. I did them email the next day to ask if we could make a booking for later in the week but were told that they were full every night but they could do the following week. This felt slightly more friendly than the in person encounter but as we were leaving at the end of the week, it wasn’t any use to us.
The skiing was great. We were there in half term and it was so quiet on the slopes. We were able to ski straight onto most lifts, or had less than a 2 minute queue time. The busiest one was Le Grattalu heading back at the end of the day and even that was less than 10 minutes. We’ve been to other places where we’ve queued for 40 minutes to get on lifts!
There were plenty of runs for all levels and the snow was good. We will definitely go back to Tignes.

This is an amazing place for both a summer and winter...
This is an amazing place for both a summer and winter holiday. This is the first time we have stayed in the summer and there was so much to do. We also couldn't believe how good value the activities were with the purchase of the my tignes card. As a result, quite a lot of the activities were free which was brilliant. We will definitely be going back because the weather was perfect with warm sunshine, blue skies but not the intense heat that is being experienced in some of parts of Europe.
Loved the view of the lake and mountains from the breakfast area and bedroom.
You can lie on your bed looking at the mountains.
Lots of storage space.
Room was lovely and warm.
Always had a good supply of hot water for bath and showers.
Hot chocolate at breakfast was lovely.
You can skate back on your skis from skiing at the end of day and also in the mornings.
Bus stop right outside hotel.
Nice short walking distance into town for bars, restaurants, shops and pharmacy.
The owner is happy to go above and beyond to help out.
Outstanding service and staff. Everyone was exceptionally nice. Especially big compliments go to the legendary Ski guy!! He is such a fantastic person! He helped a lot and always went extra mile.
Outstanding bar and lobby. Everything clean and modern, great show in the evening.
Perfect location straight on the slope!
Great idea to have a ski shop, everything is easy to rent just in hotel
Big pool and jakuzzi and spa in hotel. Rooms new and clean
Perfect for a short ski trip for the family! A lot of ski schools around.
This is the second time I have stayed at Le Dome and I will stay again.
Simple, clean pleasant and very good value.
It is about 20m from the slopes: not exactly "ski in ski out" but absolutely close enough.
It is on the navette (shuttle bus) route, so connecting to Tignes main resort is easy enough.
Mot of the guests were "we are here for skiing"
Outstanding collection of board games!!
The hotel has a nice traditional feel, good facilities and activities available in the hotel. The location is probably the best of any hotel in town right next to lifts and rental shops. The hotel is essentially ski in/ ski out. Staff were helpful and friendly and easy to communicate with before and during the stay.
Really nice space for 4 people, great balcony and view. extremely easy for ski rental, access to the télécabine just next to the hotel. Spa was unexpectedly very nice just have to make a reservation. Shuttle to tignes 2100 every 15-30 minutes during the day, more difficult access later at night.
We arrived in the automn season, leading to a lot of restaurants still being closed. Dominique prepared us a lovely meal at a fair price. Furthermore, Claude advised us on the most feasible way to plan our day of skiing (parking and shuttle bus to Val Claret, ski hiring and ski passes).
* Located right next to the Trufs lift and right on a slope, with a convenient ski in/out access.
* Breakfast was very "homey", and they serve cookies at the end of the skiing day.
* The staff was nice, and the price is suitable for the offering.
I like the location and that area of Tignes. It's easy to get skiing and also you c an ski back easily also. The room was nice and comfortable and the view from the balcony was amazing. Breakfast was good and a nice start to the day.
Great ski in ski out location.
Nicely stocked kitchen with good ceramic stove for guests that cook (like we did).
Good space distribution with small sleeping room and bigger living room with nice and big dinning table.
Great location. Amazing views of the mountains. 9 of us fitted comfortably for a weeks skiing and everything you would need. Ski lift within minutes and 5 mins to the main Tignes resort.
