There was ice under the man-mad snow that made trying to carve turns difficult and choppy. The place during the week was busy and can't imagine what it is like on the weekends. I am glad I left when I did because it rained all day Friday then was going down to 15 F which would make me think twice about skiing. $22 for a locker was outrageous.

Owner does not disclose bedrooms and bathroom on separate levels; shows pictures of two bathrooms but only 1.5, parking spot was a MUDHOLE NO GRAVEL...be warned if weather is wet and above freezing, my car interior full of mud from taking family to ski and going anywhere. Also for 105 cleaning fee you are expected to wash all towels and washcloths, take out all trash, clean fireplace. Bring extra paper towels and salt and pepper and ice (no ice maker). Other than that, plenty of dishes, etc.

Do NOT use CarolinaStays for your accommodation's!
Do NOT use CarolinaStays for your accommodation's! There apartments although clean, did not have adequate heating units in the rooms! They used 2 small electric wall mounted heating units to heat the entire 1st floor and the entrance door was not sealed against cold air blowing in. No support comes after you call "Jennifer" from CarolinaSTAYS. We asked for small portable heating units, she said only to "pack the front door with towels" LOL!! Inside temperature of the rooms we could get no higher than 57 deg F! The fireplace they advertised is fake. It is the second small electric heating unit that only could blow luke warm air at full power. No support to come on out from CarolinaStays to fix the problems, which forced us to leave after one night! Interesting, as soon as we notified were leaving, a few minutes after our call they did send out a cleaning person to clean and to check up on the apartment. LOL

Very charming community.
Very charming community. We saw deer outside restaurants and on the roadside. Lots of shopping and restaurants to choose. Visiting the Land of Oz was our primary reason for the trip and it was fabulous!
The Location is amazing. Close to Beech Mountain as well as the small town and Elk Town as well. The heating at the place works really well if you are there in the winter. Wifi works well. Parking is right outside the entrance so you dont have to walk far. When it snowed it was great as you can play on the road as there is no traffic there. Great place to walk about and see some animals as you go along. Make sure you have AWD or 4WD if you go in winter because once you get off the main road some vehicles may struggle on the gravel roads.
The apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable, we were three people (and a dog) so had to use the living room's sofa/open bed as well, which was in front of the electric fireplace and large screen tv. There was also a patio, and the coolest thing was probably the deer family that came to visit in the morning. The town (Beech Mountain) is a ski resort, we were only there for a night so just passing through.
Location was great. This was our first time visiting Beech Mountain. We thought it was a nice area. The view from the upper deck was awesome! The house is a nice size, not too big or too small. The upper floor feels nice and open, since most of that floor has a view out to the deck and the view, lots of windows. The LARGE hot tub was great to relax in during the cool evenings.
Beautiful house, 3 mins from Beech Mountain, lots of space for everyone, and the host was so nice. Very impressed with their communication through the process.Games and DVD player. Washer/dryer was a nice touch after a day in the snow with kids Overall highly recommend and we will use them again!
If you want a vintage experience, this is the perfect place, everything in the hotel is very old but at the same time very well cared for, and for us, being young, it was a surprising and pleasant experience.
Location to Beech Mountain was great. Loved the cabin decor, working kitchen and TV options as well as puzzles and games. Beds and furniture were very comfy.
Two lovely decks from which to watch deer.
Fully equipped kitchen. Comfortable living area. Nice to have a full laundry. Comfy beds with high end linens.
