Les Arcs – Arc 1950

A paradise for families and freeriders

The Les Arcs ski area comprises four individual ski resorts, one of them Arc 1950. As you can tell from its name, the stylish mountain village is located at 1,950 metres above sea level. Winter sports fans from all over the world love its traditional charm, and families appreciate the resort’s moderate size.

A perfect mix of slopes for all skill levels

If you’re looking for a bit more of a challenge, you might want to check out the entire Les Arcs and Peisey-Vallandry ski area. The black runs and steep descents there are especially popular with experienced skiers and snowboarders. Plus, you’ll also find some perfect ski runs for racing there.

Did you know? Les Arcs is part of the Paradiski ski area – one of the world’s largest interconnected ski resorts. So if you’re looking for unprecedented variety, you can make use of the enormous selection of slopes the Paradiski winter sports paradise has on offer. You’ll see that a ride with the Vanoise Express – which used to be the world’s longest cable car until 2016 – is already worth the price of the ski ticket.

INTERSPORT Rent tip

Our RENTertainers recommend

The slopes at Col de la Chal

They are an all-time favourite with guests of Arc 1950: the slopes at Col de la Chal. Simply take the Plagnettes 36 chairlift up to the mountain station, where you can choose between an easy beginners’ slope back down to the valley station and the red Grand Renard run towards Arc 1800. The latter even has some powder sections.

In short: With so many slopes to choose from, there’s bound to be something for everyone.
