We had a wonderful stay. Our room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and our host, Kevin was very friendly and welcoming. We couldn’t have asked for more. We would stay there again.

Ironwood is a great place to spend a few days many hiking trails and cool waterfalls, short staffed in many restaurants made it more difficult to find places to eat but this is happening in many areas. Ironwood is definitely worth exploring. I went to the area twice this past year and each time explored something different. I do not ski but the area looked like it would be a very fun place for a winter ski trip or a snowmobiling trip.

Do not book a room here at Rodeway.
Do not book a room here at Rodeway. My wife got covid so we made the responsible decision to cancel our reservation. We did make any expenses for Rodeway and I asked Rodeway not to charge us for the cancellation but Rodeway was very rude/unprofessional and would not cancel the charges.

Like a lot of smaller communities Ironwood has not recovered from the effects of pandemic. We attempted to dine at the Uptown Cafe, but were ignored by the staff and finally decided to go elsewhere. BUT there was no elsewhere, so we went to Wal-mart bought two frozen dinners and thank goodness the motel room had a small microwave.

Love this location.
Love this location. Everything in town that you could think of fast food, sit down dinners, several Churches, grocery, several gas stations and auto parts stores. We loved the close locale to about 20 parks with waterfalls and nice hiking trails, which in winter are x-country ski & snowmobile trails. All pet friendly also.

I used to live in the area, There are a lot of attractions in the area. Downtown not what it used to be but still great area to see, a few miles away is the worlds largest ski jump and you can walk to the top .There is plenty of waterfalls and wildlife to see. Little Girls Point and Black River Harbor are great places to visit, both have camp grounds and great views of the lake. So enjoy your stay and see the sites.

We were just driving through from Porcupine Mountain, to Park Falls Wisconsin. We just drove through Ironwood and did not spend any time viewing the city. People we talked to were nice and there was a great restaurant about 5 miles south of Ironwood.
Convenient location (close to Holiday gas station and Super One grocery) and beautiful scenic area. Outdoor electrical outlet made charging electrical vehicle possible. Refrigerator, WIFi, and TV in room also plusses. Proprietor was very hospitable, responsive to requests, and an affable personality who takes pride in the establishment.
The room was very clean, beds were very comfortable(and both of us have back problems) heater/a-c worked very well and the staff was friendly. Very helpful to suggest nearby dining places. Location was perfect. A great place for the value. It's not fancy and will stay here again when in the area.
Staying at the Royal Motel is a nostalgic experience of traveling to these small motels as a kid- mint green bathroom fixtures, pulling right up to your door to unload, and a friendly person to check you in! It was refreshing to stay here after spending several nights in chain hotels.
I was driving very late to Ironwood, I call the staff because they closed at 10 pm and she made it sure for me to have access in my unit or room and let me check in early in the morning! Thank you !
Staff was amazing (Jennifer) went out of her way to make sure that we were comfortable. Room was clean and there was plenty of parking. Bed was comfortable area felt very safe
The staff was very helpful with finding a restaurant and the waterfalls in the area. Very friendly. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Would stay again.
