Very nice area with beautiful mountain views, right under the famous Mont Blanc, easy to access quite a lot of ski lifts taking you up to the ski slopes. Very high level professional ski slopes
Les Houches' downside is their council operated facilities have arrogant staff (not including the cashier staff who are very nice). Ski slopes sign posts are very very badly done and very unclear. Maps are not nicely done not clear.

I have been "Stuck" in Les Houches as a ski holiday for the last 15 yrs as all my Kids then their Partners then Grandkids were learning to ski, its a great place for this and we love the village, it has quiet places to eat and then it has The Kitch Inn.. get there for Apres Ski live music and great food.
Unfortunately due to the snow season changing it might be time to go to a higher altitude

I never been treated so bad by a receptionist like in this hotel. I called in the afternoon trying to find out how to get there from a sports event I was attend in Chamonix, and besides saying that this was not her problem, she turned the phone off on my face. I walked for 1h20 with my bags in the middle of the night to get there. Next day I explained the reason I could not stay the 2nd night, and she prompt said she would refund me. After quite few emails and now answer, I left a review here explaining other people that if you dont have a car, its impossible to reach the place (but they do not mention this on the hotel description). So today I called the hotel to follow up about my refund and the lady she screamed at me on the phone. She said because of my review, she would not refund. And again, that was my problem how I would get to the hotel. She turned the phone off on my face again. Never had such treatment in years booking hotels for my sports events.
I would like to let everyone knows about this situation, so no one can be fooled like I was.

Great place for all the family to ski together from the oldest in our group at 64 to the youngest at 6. All our kids and grandkids have learned to ski here, with a variety of slopes and challenges for everyone. We like the Kitch Inn restaurant in the village amongst others.
Been coming here for the last 15 yrs

Les Houches is a great little ski area.
Les Houches is a great little ski area. It may not have the long runs of some resorts but we enjoyed all it had and enjoyed not having to queue for lifts. We actually had a full week of sunshine - which always helps, but is not able to be controlled.
First, compared with other properties in the area, the value for money is very much above average. Personnel is very friendly, rooms are spotless, free and unlimited water, sparkling water and coffee. I can't think of a tipe of visitor that would not have enjoyed the hotel, from singles, families with small kids, older kids, teenagers, adults and geeks. Breakfast is very cheap compared with what you would get elsewhere for that amount. Les Houches is a beautiful town, quieter than Chamonix, with a good entertainment offer.
Matt from Care Concierge was excellent and went out of his way to assist me. Having Care Concierge look after the property for the owner is the single best thing about the stay. The property was spacious and had the necessary kitchen facilities and utensils for an extended stay. The bedroom was comfortable and the lounge room was great. The location was okay - a 15/20 minute bus or train trip from downtown Chamonix but a 5 minute bus/drive to Les Houches..
Room - appartement was really specious and clean. We did not take breakfast, but you can order it if you want.
We had a small kitchen in the room - perfect decision for families.
Pool was really nice after the days of skiing - kids adored it.
Only remark for travellers - you will probably need a car ( especially with kids) to travel, because hotel is not in the town. But for us it was not a problem.
Loved the location of this property, we were located right at the bottom of Les Houches ski slope and close to the ESF office for skiing lessons. Great spot for people watching and really warm and cosy. We did capture some video on our YT channel if you are interested in seeing what Les Houches is like (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_FWJOFBQs53u-846958UNQ)
I loved every bit of this property n enjoyed every sec of my stay...its view from the balcony is just waaooowww... Very well maintained with all the facilities available. The best part is the Owner of the property is such a nice n amazingly cooperative person. I m gona come n stay in the same place again soon...
Great location to start the TMB. Clean and comfortable room with stellar views of mountains. Breakfast was an array of choices and the onsite restaurant was a blessing since there are limited dining options in Les Houches. The food was delicious!
The panoramic view over the valley and mountains was brilliant and romantic, I think the view is the best in Les Houches.
The lodge was well equipped and we could freely use coffee, thee, herbs etc.
The host was very friendly and helpful.
It is a very interesting concept hotel with a unique design. Simple, but very clean rooms.
Fresh coffee and friendly staff.
The restaurant offers interesting meals. The bar staff is nice and friendly.
Amazing mountain view, the owners, Audrey and Christof are very friendly, Good breakfast, clean and modern family room. Audrey picked us up from les houches train station.
I like the design and quality of the facilities.
And really enjoyed sauna, hammam and the pool.
Underground parking is spacious.
Bus stop is just in front of the hotel.
everything was perfect. Nice chalet, quiet location, close to lifts, etc. Have to have a car as life really is Cham and Les Houches is a sleepy place, but that’s okay.
This is the second time we stayed at the hotel. Perfect place for a skiing trip to access both Les Houches and Chamonix. I would stay again when in the area.
