Busy resort. Lots to do, restaurants and shopping. Downside, expensive to eat / drink out.
Many lifts to access mountains, fab resort shuttle for free.
Recommend The Spot restaurant. Bakeries all reasonably priced.

The village is crowded, but still attractive to stay in.
The village is crowded, but still attractive to stay in.
We could choose whether to cook ourselves or going out for dinner. There are many restaurants and other eating facilities. Shops are available to buy your own vegetables and other necessities for cooking yourself.
You can choose to travel to Les Deux Alpes by public transport (combination of train and bus) or by car.

Loved the mountain biking trails.
Loved the mountain biking trails. Liked the artisan village of Venosc & the walk to the waterfall passing by goats on the way.
I took a day trip to La Barade. The scenery & flora were incredible. Well worth the trip! In the past I saw Chamois & Bouquetin but not this year.
Standard French Ski resort - everything is overpriced.
I really liked The Spot restaurant which serves excellent food at a reasonable cost.
Unfortunately the glacier was closed due to not enough snow. The mountains are a major construction site in summer time with a replacement Jandri Lift system being built. The Valley Blanche side was also full of bulldozers, diggers & earth moving equipment - adjusting the scenery some of it coming into contact with the trail systems. All bike trails above mid mountain were closed on the glacier side which meant that it was not possible to ride from the Glacier down to Venosc. One lift that needs an upgrade is the Mot de Lans chairlift which is pre-historic for Les 2 Alps. I would guess that this was to mitigate the risk of bikes & construction equipment coming into contact which is a safety consideration.
We enjoyed a swim in the semi-natural lake which was refreshing after a day on the trails. The luge was fun for a one-off run!
Plenty of things to amuse & if you have a multi-day lift ticket then you can use the lift pass at Alpe D'huez.

Great skiing and snowboarding for intermediates, if your a complete beginner you may want to come back when you have the hang of things. Lots of blue runs and some good red. Guaranteed snow is always a bonus, and the piste patrol keep an eye on everyone.
The toilet facilities on the mountain (especially on Le Crete, beginners area) were worse than the pits at a festival (yuk!) - LDA really need to sort this out, it stopped many people from eating in the area.
On the plus the town is a busy working town, lots of locals and tourists which gives it a great vibe. You can choose to grab a takeaway from one of the many on offer and have a cosy night in or you can party to 5am, but a big shout out to those who chose to party, they were very quiet on the way home, so very few disturbed nights.

The ski facilities are not well run.
The ski facilities are not well run. Long queues and a lot of lost time. A great deal of blue slopes makes the location more suitable to less experie nced skiers. Restaurants are typical. One cannot expect anything particular. They are ok.

Les2Alpes - good for a skiing holiday, Village 1800 great as all the cars are beneath all the facilities so it feels like a car-free zone. The lift system is quite extensive, so easy to get round the resort and all the runs.
It looks exciting for a summer mountain bike holiday (not tested, we were skiing).
Incredible chalet, only a few minutes walk from the main ski lift. Clean, comfortable, attention to detail in each room was exceptional. Indoor pool and sauna was a great treat after a day on the slopes. Audrey, the chalet owner, was fantastic - always on hand for any help or advice regarding our stay. Quite a steep slope leading up to the chalet, which can be quite challenging if you're walking back from Apres Ski or a meal, but nothing insurmountable
The location is just perfect, it is the definition of ski in ski out. For a family of four this is the most perfect chalet. It is maintained to a very high standard with perfect facilities - induction hob, big fridge etc. Helene is a super host and accommodated us perfectly. It was super clean and tidy and I will for sure make another booking - this is the chalet in L2A which you need! Thank you!
Exceptional organic and homemade breakfast, amazing eggs, fresh juices, ham, amazing bread pastry and jams.
Perfect location for travelers, especially snowboarders/skiers as the Hotel is 2 minutes away from the main gondola
Secure and easy entry / exit for both entrances to the Hotel and ski room
Very welcoming and pleasant staff
Great mountain view for rooms that apply
The hotel is in a convenient location. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The wine selection in the restaurant is great. The spa is exceptional for an hotel of this size. The patron made our trip better by recommending an outstanding bike itinerary for us (Col de Sarenne from L'Alpe d'Huez).
The stuff was very welcoming and helpful. Provided all the info, and discount for a ski rental. The location is 200 meters of the ski lift, and you can ski in case of good snow. Rooms are simple but comfortable, and clean, with a good view. And they have a bath! Very good place for its price.
Excellent value for money for such a lovely apartment with plenty of cooking facilities, washing machine etc. Very spacious and stunning view from the living room/kitchen area. Also only two minutes from the Diable chairlift, and a minute from the Ski Pass office and a local boulangerie.
Was warm, nice balcony, had a bathtub, location is ok if you ski at Valle blance, if you want to go to the other side u must walk or take the shuttle.
The beds were nice and we had a vieuw from the bed looking onto the terass/mountain.
Has a P and a lift too.
Nice overaal .
Classic ski hotel, with free parking and friendly staff that spoke both french and english.
Room nice and clean, and also very warm , with great views of the beautiful mountains.
Buffet was great, very good selection for breakfast and dinner, even with a choice of wine.
Exellent location, 2-3 minutes walk to Jandri 1. Good and friendly host. Good heating and plenty of hot water. Parking with a ramp. The apartment is in the center and everything is nearby. There is a ski room in the basement, but only for skis. Good price for 7 nights.
Incredibly clean hotel, it was spotless. Owners were always on hand if you needed anything and the view from our room (actually our bed) was beautiful and peaceful. Bed was really comfy and there was hardly any noise from the rest of the hotel. So so peaceful.
Central location, although most slopes are on the other side of the village, I e 10 min walk to the ski lift. PRIVATE GARAGE is hard to undervalue. Parking in the street is horrible, and sometimes you’ll need a snow shovel to get into your car.
The location and friendly staff. Logan especially was very helpful. A warm relaxed place to retire to after skiing. Breakfast was simple but certainly adequate. Value for money was excellent. Good views across the resort to the mountains.
Pro: It is right beside the ski cabin. The sofa bed is comfortable. If there is enough snow I think you can ski up to the garage, where you can enter the building with ski equipment(unfortunately it wasn't at this time)
Sunny location in quiet end of the village, right on the ski slopes. Helpful staff. Friendly ski shop next door. Superb restaurant under same management just up the street. Hotel spotlessly clean, warm and lovely views.
Apartment is really good equiped, clean and on the perfect position to reach the ski slopes and lifts. Communication with landlord is simple and he responds quickly. Perfect for a family with one child. Recommend.
Beautifully renovated. Bedding and pillows were a dream of comfort! Delightful, modern shower. Kind and welcoming host and staff. Can buy ski passes on site. All around - very happy and will return!
