Wengen was straight out of a postcard! The town was charming and the views were second to none. The vacation was wonderful for us as a couple, but is also very family friendly. There were well behaved dogs with many of the visitors as well. I cannot wait to return!

The setting in the Jungfrau Region is jaw-dropping.
The setting in the Jungfrau Region is jaw-dropping. Small village feel with accomodations ranging from rustic to luxurious. Traffic-free, except for the occassional taxi or public works vehicle. Train access to high apline environment is unparalleled! Just wish the snow was better in late January.

Stunning scenery wherever you go.
Stunning scenery wherever you go. Good mix of transport options (train, gondola, cable cars) - just need a bit of patience as only runs every 15-30 mins. Great place for sledding, walking and just enjoying the majestic mountains.

Very cute town with lots of local places to eat/drink and shop on the on-season. Since we were there during slack, there were VERY few options. Wouldn't recommend unless it's full-on winter or full-on summer!

Wengen was one of our favorite places to visit on our 3 week vacation. We loved taking the Tram up to Murren and also from Wengen to the top of the mountain. We we went in September so there was no snow yet. Lovely and memorable town.

Wengen is a beautiful spot to visit and it's neat that its a car free town. We visited with kids so the ball course set up through the town was amazing for keeping the kids entertained (you get the balls at the tourist information office). Other than walking around the town or taking the gondola up to Mannlichen there's not much to do. Again it provides beautiful sites but you'll need to find things to entertain children.
The hotel is located right in front of the train station, there's a Coop next door and a self-service laundromat at the building (reception will help with more info). The views are breath-taking and you can take the train to Kleine Scheidegg and take another from there to the Jungfraujoch (The top of Europe). Lauterbrunnen is just down the hill, the train runs every half-hour and the ride is only 13 minutes. The hotel has two restaurants (great steak) and there are many around (pizza, pasta, steak, and Santos has the best burgers 🍔😋)
Hotel with a good snow resort vibe. It's located up a hill in the town of Wengen, make sure you arrive within the station pickup time or you will be working those glute pushing your luggage up the hill.
Our room was very spacious and quiet. We chose the room with mountain view.
Downstairs has complementary coffee and tea, but this does mean that you don't get a Kettle and must make your way to the ground floor for hot water. Breakfast offers many options including pastry, egg, cereal, fruits and meat.
Friendly and helpful staff
The best thing about this property is the view. Hands down. We hiked around several trails, but always agreed that we loved the view of the valley from the house best!
The house was beautiful, clean, and well equipped. It was obviously newly renovated, and we appreciated the details and furnishings. We honestly could have stayed forever. There was plenty of room for our family of seven to stretch out. We loved that it was located outside of Wengen and in a little more peaceful location.
The hotel is better than expected. It looked older from the pictures, but it's actually newer and well-preserved. The rooms were big enough; we also had a big balcony and a breathtaking view of the Jungfrau.
The owner is very helpful for any activity you wish to plan. Dinner is good (not gourmet, but price-wise well worth it), and breakfast is fresh and tasty. Tea and coffee are available for free all day long in a cozy tea room.
Free ski deposit next to the cable car.
Cosy, comfortable and well-equipped apartment a few minutes walk from the centre of Wengen, at the entrance to the Hotel Wengerhof grounds.
We had the one bedroom apartment Mönch on the ground floor. Plenty of room for two people, full kitchen and a nice balcony as well as access to the HotelcWengerhof gardens.
The apartment is in typical Swiss 1970s/1980s style but perfectly comfortable and functional. We’d be happy to stay there again.
Property is a comfortable one bedroom down the slope from Wengen train station. It is priceless to have breakfast or dinner on the balcony looking at the Alps before or after a day of hiking (hilariously above a sheep pen). 5 minute walk from the train station, only location better are the hotels on the Main Street beside the train station. Furnished with a kitchen, bathtub and heating, and a bit of space!
The stay here exceeds my expectation. Booked one night for the room with luxury view. On the lovely beautiful balcony u get superb view of mountain Jungfrau and the town of Wengen. It’s a hotel plus restaurant, really like the wooden touch & deco of the place. Breakfast ok too, loved their pastry
Amazing hospitality at a super stylish hotel. Breakfast was incredible and the views from the hotel are stunning. The staff treat you like family and are happy to drive you to the train station (8 min walk). I would absolutely return here, and next time I would upgrade for a room with views.
This hotel really does have the best view in all of Wengen! We did not want to leave our balcony. The hotel is very charming because it is old! I think 1890? But the bed is very comfortable, and the bathrooms work well. The breakfast is amazing.
Good size room with twin beds. Mountain view. Hotel staff were exceptional. Nice variety at breakfast. Excellent restaurant. Located on the main road in Wengen. Cable car and train access within just a few minutes.
The rooms were classic Ski Lodge style and the beds were amazing. They even had a lift so you could prop yourself up to watch TV. The Bathroom was larger than many other hotels we stayed in during our trip.
Pretty view, I got a balcony with a beautiful view of Wengen. Comfortable bed, warm shower, clean toilet.
There’s a busy restaurant below the hotel. Also the view from the terrace is quite nice.
Really friendly family run hotel. The 4 course dinners are good value for Switzerland and quite fun! They cater for vegetarians too. Beautiful alpine architecture and views. Highly recommend!
Great hotel location in Wengen, staff mostly very pleasant.
We stayed a further 2 weeks (14 nights) directly with the hotel, so this review is not just a ‘one night’ experience
The hotel is in the middle of Wengen, 3 minutes walk from the train station. The views from the balcony are amazing. The place is very cozy. I will definitely come back here.
perfect hotel ! Really loved the library. Room was very nice and clean. All Staff was very kind. If I travel switzerland again, I would definately come back to this hotel
