Lovely resort. Quiet when we stayed.
Lovely resort. Quiet when we stayed. Le Lei and Baby are great restaurants in town. Best restaurant in town is found through entering building where Farmacia Jayme is - walk into building, past the pharmacy entrance on right, and it is at the end of the corridor on your left (past a little toy shop). Great food, fantastic staff.
Sestriere is small and easy to get around. Good Carrefour supermarket on main strip.

The French side of the Vialattea ski area is much more better.
Snow situation was very bad, but the snow cannons were not used.
Town was very quiet in the evenings.
The restaurants in the slopes were quite messy and poor quality in food and price comparison to other Italian ski resorts and Austria.

Sestriere is a very small but cute town.
Sestriere is a very small but cute town. Access to the pistes is easy and there are a lot of facilities for renting equipement, cafes, etc.
We had a hard time looking for restaurants for dinner, as every single one was fully booked.

Still a good hotel, but level decreasing.
Still a good hotel, but level decreasing. Before this hotel (and the management) was a little gem, now it is becoming just another group owned hotel with a non personal hospitality.
I have been angry a couple of times because of little details, like plastic beakers at the breakfast buffet, and generally speaking I have better been received in the past years. Level of the hotel is definitely declining.

Such a lovely resort.
Such a lovely resort. Also great ski area, the ski pass for 6 days (including france) covers a vast area. And lots of great runs. Mainly reds and black runs but that was perfect for us. Also cheaper compared to other European ski resorts and lots of fun. The locals are very welcoming and friendly. 10/10 would definitely go back! Après was really fun too, a lot better than the French après! Despite what the internet says about no après in Sestriere, igloo was fun and Gargote fashion cafe was wicked!
A nice private apartment, suitable for a family of 4. Well equipped with all the necessary stuff, kitchenware, bed linen and towels were provided. Large living room with a convertible sofa and a bedroom of a decent size with some place to work, if you need it.
Private parking in a closed garage on the ground floor. Elevator right from the parking place up to the apartment door, very practical for hauling luggage.
The host was very friendly and helpful.
Location pretty good. Decent price, but I would not say it was cheap. Sestriere appeared a little quiet to us but was quite lovely and the ski area excellent. Good for all levels of skiers. We also hired a guide for half a day to show us the best and most appropriate runs. That was a good move, especially since Mike, the guide, helped us improve our skiing while showing us around the best runs.
Spacious rooms (compared to French standards), basic but good "sports"-hotel. Reasonably equiped kitchen. Personel at reception extremely friendly and helpful. Garage right under the apartment at extra cost but worth it (especially since it was snowing the whole week). Great skiing area. Small shower but great water temperature at all times !
I really enjoyed this lodge - the size I prefer, nice decor, a great quality facility. There is a morning and evening shuttle to the central ski lift area, though I preferred to walk. Beautiful view of Sestriere, even if slightly out of the center. Quiet. Nice bar and restaurant areas. Helpful staff.
Excellent location. in the vicinity of village center with a nearby, walking distance, from supermarket and restaurants.
Ludovico from Happy Rentals was very welcoming and supportive,
Parking, although not under the apartment, was excellent and advantageous.
fabulous hotel in great location, big spacious rooms which are cleaned every day. nice bar to hang out in the evenings. the food was incredible, huge breakfast & dinners with variety & choice every evening. a great hotel for a family skiing holiday
Really cheap compare to other places in Sestriere, so you get what you pay for.
+ shuttle bus to the lift
+ public bus outside of the hotel (to pragelato for cross country skiing/to oulx for train to Turin)
The staff was very helpful and friendly. Attentive and professional. We were so glad that they communicated in English. We enjoyed the location and comfort of the hotel.
Dinner was excellent with a great choice of wines. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a great location to explore the rest of Sestrierre town.
