We absolutely loved everything about the Lodge! It was Totally Magnificent! Would recommend to all our Family & Friends! We felt like we were part of the family. We experienced the best top notch hospitality compared to the 4 other nights spent outside each of Yellowstone Gates. Thanks so much for treating us so very kindly on our 40th Wedding Anniversary Trip. We love the owners, The Kyle's are very accommodating!

We loved the little cabin. It had a beautiful view.
We loved the little cabin. It had a beautiful view. We saw wild horses nearby. There was a store nearby for drinks. We had the needed modern conveniences with the outdoors right outside the door. We were centrally located to all our activities including Yellowstone, rafting, food, horseback riding, etc…

Wapiti is just outside of the narrow canyon when exiting Yellowstone. It opens to a gorgeous wide valley with mountains on all sides. It’s quiet and 25 minutes west of Cody. We went in the off season so we found no restaurants or gas stations open. The drive to Cody was a beautiful easy drive by the reservoir and thru three tunnels. So pretty!!!

It is a beautiful drive from Wapiti into YNP, and there is wildlife to be seen along the way on the East entrance to the park. I, however, would not stay near that entrance again. I have issues with steep mountain passes with shear dropoffs. I got used to it after a couple of times, but always dreaded driving back out of the park to the hotel because of the road. Driving into the park is easy, as you are driving on the mountain side. It's just driving out over Sylvan Pass that was unpleasant for me. If that doesn't bother you, then it's a great location. The hotel said 30 minutes to the gate, but I never made it in less than about 45 before dawn.

We booked a cabin but received a huge room (3 queen beds for 2) in a basement with no windows, natural light or fresh air. Beds were like hammocks with NO support and difficult to even get out of….Horrible. Ran out of toilet paper and couldn’t find anyone to get more. Restaurant on site but not open for breakfast, not even coffee. Worst stay of 10 day vacation.
It was a pretty location and probably a great place to stay if you wanted to live like a traveler 80 years ago.

I would definitely stay at the Wapiti Lodge again!
I would definitely stay at the Wapiti Lodge again! It is run by a wonderful family and staff who care about their guests. We loved having a kitchen in our room with a fridge and freezer. One staff member recommended the nightly rodeo and we had a blast watching the rodeo clowns and riders.
The kitchen was stocked with dishes, cookingware, and there was coffee and other small things in the fridge. There are plenty of outlets, they stock the cabin with bear spray, and soap, feminine products, and small things similar to a hotel. The location is great, about halfway from Cody and Yellowstone with a gas station/convenience store right where you turn. And the hosts are excellent, regularly checking on us to make sure we had what we needed. Overalls a great location to get away.
-Kind of small size room but very comfortable bed
-Laundry Service available at a 7.50 usd fee
-Quiet place, animals around you and you can feed them (goats and llamas)
-Yard games
-25 min drive to Cody (plenty of dining options)
-The shared restrooms (separate ladies and gents) were spotless! Immaculate clean and they have a lovely massage chair to use for free while you can watch tv or listen to music. Showers had good pressure of hot water
Not only was our room huge, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The best part was definitely the restaurant-I’ve eaten at a lot of places in WY and the food here isn’t always great. But Waipiti Lodge food is SO GOOD! If you are there for Taco Tuesday you’ll be very happy and the owners beans are the best I’ve ever had. The view from the restaurant is out of this world. Will definitely stay here again.
What an amazing experience...Perfect from the beginning till the end of our stay. Owner was so welcoming and helpful. The place is cleaner than most of the hotels. Restrooms and showers are more than clean. The place is simply amazing. You can watch the stars at night from the terrace and feed lamas & goats in the morning. Coffee & crossaints was a nice surprise.
The location in the area outside Cody was beautiful. The cabin was nice and spacious, had a microwave and mini fridge. The linens were good and there was plenty of storage outside the bathroom. The restaurant is onsite, but they had a limited menu, since the season just started. We ordered two hamburgers and the food was good, and there was a good wine selection.
Beautiful view, next to the river. A short 30 minute drive to the park, and close to Cody. The room appeared clean. Our kids loved seeing the deer out the window. The owner did comp. us our first nights stay, and put us in a different cabin the next night, when we brought the issue with the room to her attention.
Not so far from Yellowstone NP, and cheaper than other options close to the park. Staff was very helpful. Outside toilets were very clean and in good condition. Masage chair was great :-) WiFI work very good ( what is not common in hotels in this area ) . Sweets in the morning - my sone liked it very much.
The mountain man cabin is the perfect property. Spacious with exceptional views. The full kitchen & included amenities allowed for us to grill out & simply enjoy the space. Location is wonderful as well as it served as a middle point between the east entrance of Yellowstone & the town of Cody Wyoming.
Room has it's own flavor, stool for a chair excellently made. same for bed. Different, but quite well done. They have a breakfast bar, buy your breakfast. Staff at hotel was great.
