The Kamnicka Bistrica valley, in the heart of the Kamnicke Alps, lies between the Krvavec Massif and the Velika Planina range, above Kamniška Bistrica. The high plateau is sprinkled with herdsmen's huts used for summer grazing and holiday cabins. Velika Planina offers 6km of gentle, wide-open, treeless slopes. Note that not all surface lifts are open during weekdays. There are 6kms of piste at Velika Planina and 8 lifts. The area also offers 10km of cross country skiing. The nearest airport is at Ljubljana.

Velikan Planina is a very nice place.
I was here for the first time with my girlfriend.
It is so romatic at the top of summit with all the wooden houses.
I asked her to marry me whilst we were here, Saturday the Februari 27
and she said yes.
My day was quite successful.
But you can walk for hours in very fine Velika Planina.
