Valdesquí (Valdesqui) is a nice little resort just outside Madrid. Crazy Expensive! 32€ for that size of resort is nuts, specially given there's zero facilities (crappy cafeteria, small restrooms, a hire ski-shop, that's it). But hey, if you live in Madrid it is perfect for when you need to shake the addiction off between proper snowboard-ski weekends.
Not so crowded really at Valdesqui if the weather is not that awesome and/or you wake up early, as nowadays the Guardia Civil closes access to the resort if the parking lot fills up.
