Valberg Ski Resort Guide
Valberg in France (in the Alpes du Sud region) is a large resort with 21 lifts ( 6 chair lifts, 15 surface lifts) that offers skiers a respectable 416 metres (1365 feet) of vertical descent. Valberg has 618 acres of terrain over 52 pistes with a total length of 90 kilometers (56 miles). Valberg is best suited to intermediate skiers and snowboarders but there is some terrain for beginners and advanced skiers. There are 25 kilometers (16 miles) of cross country ski trails at Valberg. For snowboarders, there is a terrain park.

Valberg is a good family resort. Kiddie facilities are great & it doesn't attract mad boarders who might run your toddler over. The skiing is mainly within the treeline & so is pretty rather than dramatic. There are 2 problems with Valberg: All the skiing is between 1600-2000m and so each piste is fairly short. Secondly, it doesn't catch as much snow as nearby Isola 2000 or even Auron. However, snow cannon coverage is excellent. Top tip: For experienced skiers head for the "Pra brule" sector.
