Sunlight Mountain sits above the town of Glenwood Springs, essentially between Vail and Aspen. This family-oriented resort is a very viable alternative to either mega-resort for a few days. There's a 2,010 foot vertical drop and there's often plenty of untracked powder. The best part of a day on the mountain is splashing down into the hot springs complex in Glenwood.
