Sinaia Ski Resort Guide
Sinaia is the Royal Resort where King Carol built his summer residence in 1870. Branded as the'Pearl of Carpathians'; the most up-market resort in Romania. Sinaia boasts fine hotels and a long history as well as some fairly respectable skiing served by 10 lifts and 2 cable cars. At 1030m, Sinaia offers the biggest vertical of any resort in Romania and the longest piste is over 6km long and peaks above Sinaia reach 2500m. Few Brits venture here compared to Brasov, but it is quite popular with German skiers.
